Custom Cut Holiday String Lighting

How custom christmas lights work

SPT-1 and SPT-2 Socket Wire

SPT-1 and SPT-2 socket wire are two types of wire that are commonly used in Christmas light installation. SPT-1 wire is a single-strand wire, while SPT-2 wire is a double-strand wire. SPT-1 wire is typically used for lights that are not very heavy, such as mini lights. SPT-2 wire is typically used for lights that are heavier, such as C9 lights.

C9 Bulbs

C9 bulbs are a type of Christmas light bulb that is commonly used in residential Christmas light installation. C9 bulbs are about the size of a golf ball and have a frosted glass cover. They are available in a variety of colors, including white, amber, blue, green, and red.

Cutting the Wire to Specific Lengths

To cut the wire to specific lengths, we use a wire cutter that is designed for electrical wire or a utility knife. When we are using a wire cutter, we make sure that the blades are sharp. All of our techs are trained on the proper techniques to use a utility knife, being careful not to cut themselves.

To cut the wire, we hold the wire cutter or utility knife near the end of the wire that we are wanting to cut. Then, squeeze the wire cutter or press down on the utility knife to cut the wire. Be sure to cut the wire cleanly so that there are no jagged edges.

Attaching Male and Female Wire Connectors

To attach male and female wire connectors, we use wire cutters to cut the Spt-1 and Spt-2 socket wire. Each end has its a designated direction the wire goes into the connection.
